Chapter Media and LG team up for new applications this spring

At the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), LG announced their latest range of TVs and Media Players, Netcast—their connected TV platform—and an intriguing device called the SmartTV Upgrader that allows consumers to upgrade existing devices with the latest Netcast technology.

Chapter Media is proud to have been working with LG and major publishers to develop applications that will be pre-installed on new devices released in Spring 2011.

These apps, and their integration with Necast, are a part of our unique and proprietary connected devices platform, which allows us to publish mobile, tablet and TV applications to multiple proprietary systems (iOS, Android, Netcast, YahooWidgets and many more). We enable brands and publishers a simple means to create and manage (via the platform’s content management system) an integrated user proposition across a broad variety of connected devices.

Another one of LG’s new devices, the Magic Motion remote controller, has allowed us to experiment with the technology while developing applications. The Wii-style control gives the user a truly integrated experience with the applications in use on LG’s new systems. Changing the channel has never been quite this entertaining.

In a revolutionary age of television and Internet technology, we are excited to be a part of the transformation of the industry. Keep a look out for more details as the release date approaches this spring.

LG prototype arrives

We took delivery this morning of a prototype of LG’s next LED TV – the magic remote controller is fun to play with! LG seem to like what we do as they are about to pre-install our apps on their upcoming range.
